This policy explains what DG Grow collects when you visit https://www.dggrow.com, why, who else can see it, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be skipped.
The site is operated by Nazmus Sakib from Bangladesh. For anything in this policy, email sakib9294@gmail.com.
The short version
- You can read this entire site without giving us your name or email.
- We do not sell your personal data, and we never will.
- The data that does get collected mostly comes from third parties we use — Google for ads and analytics, and affiliate networks when you click a partner link.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Comments. If you leave a comment we store the name, email address and website you enter, along with the comment itself, your IP address and browser user agent string. The last two are used for spam detection.
- Contact messages. If you email us or use the contact form, we keep your message and address so we can reply and refer back to the conversation.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email address until you unsubscribe. Every email includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately.
Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, our server and analytics tools record technical details of each visit: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed and time of visit. This is used to keep the site working and to understand which articles are worth writing more of.
Images
If you upload an image, avoid uploading files with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) — visitors can download and extract that data from any image on the site.
Embedded content from other sites
Articles may embed YouTube videos, social posts or similar. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited that other site: those providers may collect data about you, use cookies, and track your interaction with the embed, including if you have an account and are logged in with them.
Why we use it
- To publish and display comments, and to block spam.
- To reply to messages you send us.
- To send the newsletter you asked for.
- To measure traffic in aggregate and decide what to publish next.
- To serve advertising, which is what keeps the site free.
- To keep the site secure and to meet legal obligations.
Where the law requires a legal basis (for example under the GDPR), we rely on your consent for the newsletter and for non-essential cookies, and on our legitimate interest in running and securing a website for the rest.
Advertising
This site displays ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a wider group of vendors at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.com. Opting out means you still see ads — just less relevant ones.
More detail on Google’s practices is in the Google Privacy & Terms.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links earn us a commission. When you click one, the merchant — not this site — sets a cookie so any resulting purchase is credited here. We see aggregate commission reports, not your personal purchase details. See our Affiliate Disclosure for the full picture.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to understand traffic in aggregate. Google’s own Privacy Policy governs the data it processes.
Cookies
Cookies keep you logged in, remember your comment details, and support analytics and advertising. The full breakdown, and how to control or block them, is in our Cookie Policy.
Briefly: if you leave a comment you may opt in to saving your name, email and website in cookies for convenience, which last one year. Logging in sets session cookies that expire when you close the browser, or after two days — two weeks if you select “Remember Me”.
Who we share data with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. It is shared only with the service providers that make the site work, and only as far as each needs:
- Our web host, which stores the site and its database.
- Google, for advertising and analytics.
- Akismet, which receives comment data to check it for spam.
- Gravatar, which may receive an anonymised hash of a commenter’s email address to check for a profile picture. Their policy is at automattic.com/privacy.
- Our email provider, if you subscribe to the newsletter.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
International transfers
This site is operated from Bangladesh and its service providers operate globally, so your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, those providers rely on their own approved transfer mechanisms.
How long we keep it
Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so follow-up replies can be recognised and approved automatically. Contact emails are kept as long as they remain useful for the conversation. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data follows Google’s own retention settings.
Registered users can see, edit or delete the personal information in their profile at any time; usernames cannot be changed. Site administrators can also see and edit that information.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- send you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct anything inaccurate;
- delete your data, including any comments you have left;
- stop sending you email;
- stop processing your data for advertising personalisation.
Email sakib9294@gmail.com and we will action it. Note that we may need to keep certain data where the law requires it. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority. If you are in California, we confirm that we do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.
Children
This site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS and we take reasonable steps to protect the data we hold. No website can promise perfect security, and we do not.
Changes to this policy
When the tools or practices on this site change, this policy is updated and the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
